The YMCA of Northern BC offers a range of programs designed to meet the needs of all members of our community.

Brazilian Jujitsu - Taught by Brad Hill

This class has been designed to help you build a strong foundation to begin your Brazilian JuJitsu journey. Whether you are looking to learn self-defense, get in fantastic shape, or you are interested in competing; this class offers skill development and training progression for teens and adults.

Aikido

Adult Aikido
Aikido (also known as the Art of Peace) is a Japanese form of self-defence that blends locks, holds and throws with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force. This martial art focuses on the well being of your training partner and guides participants to develop inner peace, unifying their mind and body. Family Aikido
A wonderful martial art for children aged 6-12 and their parent(s) or guardian(s). Aikido is a nonviolent, noncompetitive, self-defence system that focuses on harmonious body movement and balance control through physical connection. Tai Chi - Taught by Paz Milburn

Increases your physical and mental well-being.  The movements, tone and strengthen the muscles, improve blood circulation, flexibility and posture.  It helps relieve stress that relaxes both the mind and body.  Tai Chi is practiced all over the world by people of all ages.  It has been used as a self healing exercise in many places in China.
