The career-focused three week employment program offers qualifying youth, age 29 and under, job skills training and long-term planning towards a rewarding career.
  • Improve your interview and networking skills
  • Build and strengthen your resume
  • Gain career-related experience
  • Earn certifications

Participants:

Who can apply?

  • Youth 29 and under seeking full time employment
  • Unemployed or underemployed and not eligible for Employment Insurance (EI)
  • Have not received EI in the past three years or parental benefits in the fast five years
  • Not presently in school
  • Residing in BC and legally eligible to work in Canada

In the program:

  • Complete career assessments with career counsellor
  • Learn basic computer skills
  • build a professional resume and cover letters
  • Develop effective interview skills
  • Network and understand your labour market
  • Gain access to valuable mentors
  • Get hands-on work experience in an industry of interest
  • Obtain certifications including First Aid Level 1, Foodsafe, WHMIS and WorldHost
