Child Care

School Age

The YMCA approach to building healthy children is reflected in our School Age Care programs. We understand that the time gaps that exist before, after school or during school breaks can be empty and lonely for children twelve and under as well as a challenge for parents. We are the largest provider of school age programming and follow the 40 Developmental Assets defined by the Search Institute (www.search-institute.org). External and internal assets that we teach include Boundaries & Expectations, Constructive Use of Time, Social Competencies and Positive Identity.
